After the fading sound, something remains.
Not sound.
A presence.
Like a dog,
or someone there.
Unclear,
but still there.
It doesn’t end.
Only the space continues.
Then, within the album flow, into “The Hours.”
A sudden shift.
Not connected.
Yet not entirely cut off.
That presence is still there.
A break within continuity.
A scene.
Inside it.
Beach House「Other People」の終わり。
消えかけた音のあとに、何かが残る。
音ではない。
気配。
犬のようでもあり、
人のようでもある。
はっきりしないまま、そこにある。
終わっていない。
空間だけが続いている。
アルバムの流れの中で、そのまま「The Hours」へ。
急に切り替わる。
繋がらない。
でも、途切れてもいない。
さっきの気配が、まだ残っている。
連続の中の断絶。
ひとつの場面。
その中にいる。
